Montreal for Amy's Birthday

So, I finished September by heading up to Montreal with my mom for a visit with Brandon, Kristen, and Amy to celebrate Amy's first birthday. As mentioned before, it was my mom's first trip out of the country and she was a little nervous. However, she did fine. It was a pretty uneventful trip up, except that the people sitting behind us got kicked off the train (lesson learned: always know where you're staying and don't get drunk on the train) and Amy started feeding us snacks.

Excited to be on the train, can't you tell?

She started by feeding me her crackers (it was one for her, one for me)

... and ended up feeding Mom, too!

While in Montreal, we spent a lot of time walking around, showing my mom the city. We saw:

The Olympic Stadium

The Basilica du Notre Dame

Le Vieux Port (Old Port)

Bonsecours Market

Lovely Fall Foliage

La Fontaine Park

Beautiful Houses

Puzzle Chairs

... and I got to feed a squirrel

As for Amy, she had a pretty big week too!

She got her first two teeth.
She learned to blow kisses (this is the best picture I could get)

She learned to waive

She learned to give kisses

She started walking while holding onto moving things. (sorry, no picture of this one)

And most importantly of all: SHE TURNED ONE!

I can't wait to see Brandon, Kristen, and Amy again for Thanksgiving in less than a week!
